Welcome to

Shambala Store began as a dream of two passionate travelers, Nick and Terry, whose journeys took us deep into the heart of Tibet.

Our journey through Tibet was nothing short of positive surprises. As we wandered through the vibrant streets of Lhasa, stood in awe at the Everest Base Camp, and meditated by the serene lakes and towering mountains, we found ourselves profoundly moved by the breathtaking landscapes and the rich spiritual heritage of the region.

One of the most pivotal moments of our trip was our encounter with the devout Tibetans walking kora around Mount Kailash (གངས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ). Witnessing these pilgrims' unwavering devotion, as they prostrated themselves every few steps, reshaped our perspectives on the challenges we had left behind. We realized that our previous concerns paled in comparison to the boundless strength and serenity we saw in the pilgrims' eyes.

The impact of Tibet lingered long after our return. Between 2008 and 2012, the two of us made countless trips back to Tibet, each time delving deeper into the local customs, art, and religion. We built lasting relationships with local artisans, learning the stories behind each handcrafted piece.

Immersing ourselves further in Tibetan culture, we spent time in the hallowed halls of the Potala Palace and the sacred Jokhang Temple. These experiences deepened our appreciation for the art, beliefs, and resilience of the Tibetan people. By the end of our month-long spiritual quest, we returned home with hearts full of peace and minds brimming with inspiration.

In 2013, driven by a desire to share the healing energy and beauty we had discovered, Shambala Store was founded. What started as a modest endeavor to introduce Tibetan art and culture to our community soon blossomed into a thriving online shop.

Today, Shambala Store stands as a testament to our journey, offering customers around the world access to the most amazing art and crafts from Tibet and the Himalayan region. We hope that you can find something that touches your soul as much as it has touched ours!
